The spring button on the side is broken, but there is small piece of fabric to help open the camera. Note that the rangefinder is not coupled to this focusing rail.

This Graflex Crown Graphic 4x5 is a large format press camera that was made by the American camera manufacturer Graflex for over 60 years. This model has the Graflex spring back and the Kalart side-mounted rangefinder. 

The side-mounted Kalart rangefinder is not coupled to the focusing bed. This item should really be thought of as more of a field or studio camera than a press camera.
